JP Knight (Caledonian) Ltd has been based at Invergordon on the Cromarty Firth in Scotland since 1969.

Our fleet of Z-peller tugs provide harbour and coastal towage out of Invergordon to UK and European ports. The Company additionally provide moorings for barges up to 92m, dredging and surveying, oil pollution response , oil fuel transfers and ship agency services.

Our crews and staff have extensive operational experience in these waters as well as supplying tugs to Scapa Flow in the Orkney Islands and to the UK’s
largest ports.

As pioneers in the introduction of Z-peller azimuthing stern drive technology in the UK and Europe, we have a close understanding of tug design and are particularly successful in supplying the charter market for bareboat or crewed tugs of 50+ tonnes bollard pull.

JP Knight’s dedication to the highest operating standards is borne out by our voluntary certification to the ISM Code and classification with Lloyd’s Register of Shipping; a connection that dates back to the company’s first tug, Kaiser, over a century ago.
