JP Knight has transported on the Berbice River, Guyana, South America, almost 24 million tonnes of dry bauxite (aluminium ore) in a project starting in 1990 and concluding at the end of 2006.
Using a fleet of six push tugs, two harbour tugs and eight flat deck pontoon barges, JP Knight has navigated a total of 1.3 million nautical miles.
