Richard Knight, as Chairman of the European Tugowners Association, led a delegation of officers to the European Commission in Brussels to meet with DG MOVE for bi-lateral talks on the forthcoming EU Ports Policy and to make interventions at the Public Hearing Review. Mr Knight stressed the vital need, regarding Market Access to Port Services, for a fair and level playing field throughout European ports and for the specific recognition that towage is a capital-intensive service requiring longer-term consideration.
